The Department of Psychology was established to develop and disseminate knowledge in psychology, especially to study the biopsychosocial behavior and to create awareness about mental health.
The Department promotes a collegial environment in which ideas are shared freely and expects faculty, members and students to promote a positivity that encourages departmental cohesiveness, productivity and morale.
It also aims to teach the students to act with honesty and accuracy in our academic and modulate the ethical principles of our professional organization.
To understand the overall areas of psychology like clinical, industrial, counselling, etc., the students are taken for field visit to mental health centres and counselling cells beside interactive classroom teaching and laboratory training.
We also encourage a commitment for active engagement with the wider professional communities of skilled psychologist and the importance of applying scientific knowledge to decrease human suffering and enhance positive functioning.
